Womens Inspirational QuotesWomens inspirational quotes from famous women throughout history. There are so many amazing women, past and present, who give me courage and hope on a daily basis. To name a few, Oprah, Louise Hays, Iyanla Vanzandt and many others. Many of the women's inspirational quotes listed below are by famous women, and many are authors of self-help books. When you find a woman that you admire, or read books by women you think have something powerful to say, write down their words that inspire you, keep them somewhere you can see them. Add them to your journal, or create a poster with their words. There are many ways to help the healing process using women's quotes. I will be posting ideas and artwork in the future, so check back.
Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead. With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts. If you feel incomplete, you alone must fill yourself with love in all your empty, shattered spaces. "Cautious, careful people always casting about to preserve their reputation or social standards never can bring about reform. Those who are really in earnest are willing to be anything or nothing in the world's estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathies with despised ideas and their advocates, and bear the consequences." If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it. My address is like my shoes. It travels with me. I abide where there is a fight against wrong. Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.
When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others. My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life, but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment. Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got. We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily difference we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee. I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well. Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose. In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery and death. As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around. If we are to achieve a richer culture, rich in contrasting values, we must recognize the whole gamut of human potentialities, and so weave a less arbitrary social fabric, one in which each diverse gift will find a fitting place. I don't think of myself as a poor deprived ghetto girl who made good. I think of myself as somebody who from an early age knew I was responsible for myself, and I had to make good. You must learn to be still in the midst of activity and to be vibrantly alive in repose. The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. I think the key is for women not to set any limits. Parents can only give good advice or put them [children] on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands. You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. Where there is no struggle, there is no strength. It's so clear that you have to cherish everyone. I think that's what I get from these older black women, that every soul is to be cherished, that every flower is to bloom. How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. I decided it is better to scream. Silence is the real crime against humanity. I've learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances. A healthy relationship brings joy-not just some of the time but most of the time. It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan. As a woman I have no country. As a woman my country is the whole world. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. Not knowing when the dawn will come, I open every door. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. -If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain. Love comes when manipulation stops; when you think more about the other person than about his or her reactions to you. When you dare to reveal yourself fully. When you dare to be vulnerable. You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back. We must want for others, not ourselves alone. If you haven't forgiven yourself something, how can you forgive others? For everyone of us that succeeds, it's because there's somebody there to show you the way out. Love is a great beautifier. Happiness is not a goal, it is a by-product.
