Flickr Healing Art Journaling
I found a great group on Flickr for healing art journaling. I've been looking for places where artists are sharing their healing art with each other and the world. It hasn't been an easy search. My guess is because not too many people know that art is a healing tool; and therefore, do not use it as such. Or because people aren't willing to share their very personal healing art journaling with a critical world. (as they say, everyone's an art critic.) But i found a great group on flickr (of all places). I've know about flickr for years but didn't realize that a community of people were using it to post healing art work and healing art journaling. There are lots of Groups in flickr that are posting artwork instead of photos (most flickr users post photographs.) And one group in particular is about art healing journaling. The artwork shown here is from the group. It's called Second Chance and is by Journal Girl Kira. Beautiful, isn't it. The group is called "Healing thru Art Journaling" and you don't need to be signed up with flickr in order to view the group's artwork. there are currently over 1,500 images in this group alone. And 670 members (I am now a proud member myself.) If you want to take a look, go to flickr and click on "groups", then do a search for "Healing thru Art Journaling". it will pull the group up for you and you can browse around and even post comments on artwork. (please be kind, as these are about healing). I've added a link at the bottom of this article to make it easier for readers to check it out. Its a great group. (I LOVE the internet and what people are doing on it.) I've found several other really great sites and I'll be posting them as well. I hope taking a look at what people are doing on flickr with their healing art journaling will inspire you to create your own healing art journaling; or to get back at it, if you've fallen in a slump.
